Robert E. Honeycutt Scholarship
Each year, the Charlotte Fire Department Credit Union will award up to six (6) scholarships valued at $1,000 each to dependent students of CFDCU members.
The scholarships will be awarded to students who will graduate high school in the current school year and will enroll in an accredited college or university (either 2 or 4 year) in the fall of the same year or is currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
Applications will not be accepted for enrollment as a part-time student, for vocational or trade schools or for adult remedial education courses.
Completed applications must be returned by April 1st. Mail to:

All applications must include a current high school transcript or college academic record. No incomplete applications will be considered.
Applications will be judged on:
- Academic Achievement
- Financial Need
- Declaration of Career Goals
- Extracurricular Activities
- Letters of Reference
In case of a tie(s) the CFDCU Scholarship Committee shall award based upon financial need.
Scholarship awards will be made annually.
The scholarship form is available in several different ways:
- Call the credit union and ask for one to be mailed to you
- Come by the credit union and pick one up
